Everything is in your name
Repository, store accounts, servers, domain. You can walk away with the whole thing tomorrow and owe us nothing but notice.
Sitenhost started in 2018 after its founders spent years inheriting apps from agencies that had shipped, invoiced and vanished. The whole model is a reaction to that.
The pattern was always the same. An agency would win the build, ship something that demoed well, invoice the final milestone and move on. Eighteen months later the app would break on a new iOS release, nobody could find the signing certificate, and the developer accounts were registered to an email address at a company that no longer existed.
We kept being the people called in to sort that out. Eventually it seemed more useful to be the people who prevented it.
Everything is registered to you from day one — the repository, the Apple Developer account, the Play Console, the servers, the domain. Not to us, not to a project email, to you. We are replaceable by design, and we think that is the only honest way to earn the next piece of work.
We also stayed. Roughly two thirds of our revenue comes from apps we shipped years ago and still release updates for every fortnight. An app is a living thing; treating the launch as the finish line is what produces the wreckage we started out cleaning up.
We do not build an app because you asked for one. If a good responsive website would serve your customers better — and quite often it would — we will say so, and then quote you for the website instead.
We do not bill for work you have not approved in writing, and we do not start a build before you have held a prototype. Too many app projects are six figures of guessing.
The useful answer is sometimes that you do not need an app at all. We are happy to be the people who say so.
Repository, store accounts, servers, domain. You can walk away with the whole thing tomorrow and owe us nothing but notice.
Nobody signs off a six-figure build from a slide. You hold a working prototype on your own phone first.
Including when the honest answer is that you do not need the project. Especially then.
Launch is the middle of the job. We are still releasing updates to apps we built six years ago.
Small enough that you will know everyone working on your project by name inside a fortnight.
Managing Director
Runs the studio and the care plans. Has restored more websites from bad backups than she would like to count.
Head of Mobile
Leads the app team. Specialises in offline-first field apps and will happily argue about sync conflict resolution.
Head of Product Design
Runs scoping workshops and prototypes. The reason our clients cut features before paying to build them.
Head of Platform
Backends, APIs and the cloud they run on. Keeps a shelf of old Android phones purely to ruin optimistic performance claims.
iOS and Android apps built to ship — designed, developed, submitted to both stores and supported after launch.
Laravel and WordPress builds — marketing sites, WooCommerce stores and content platforms, hosted and looked after once they launch.
ERP, CRM, POS, HR, accounting and LMS platforms — built around how your business actually runs, and wired into the tools you already use.
Multi-tenant platforms with subscriptions, trials and self-serve onboarding — the product, the billing and the admin behind it.
The first conversation is with a developer and costs nothing. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.
